KELLY, Karen Kelly  - On The afternoon of May 16th Karen died peacefully in a sun filled room, surrounded by her loving family.

Karen was sixty-three years old. For the past ten years, she battled a brain tumour with stubbornness, humour, dignity and valour.

Karen leaves behind the love of her life, Michael Jay Kelly.

Together, Karen and Michael raised two inspiring children, Padraig, (Carlie Weppler) and Caitlin, (Michael Phillips).

Karen was a proud grandmother to Miles and Tara, who brought her immeasurable joy.

Karen was born on April 30, 1958 in the Oakville Hospital.

She was the fourth child of Teresa Brigid (Fitzmaurice) and Vincent Joseph Horrigan.

She is predeceased by both parents and leaves behind seven brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews.  After a lifetime of serving others as a registered nurse, Karen was thankful for the compassion, care and professionalism of the many healthcare workers who assisted her these past ten years.

Karen also expressed gratitude for the many dear friends who stayed in touch, offering support.

Due to Covid-19, A Celebration of Life will follow at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation in Karen’s memory are appreciated.
