Paulocik AnnePAULOCIK, Anne Elizabeth Paulocik (nee Adam)   -  September 4, 1930 – May 18, 2021

Passed away on Tuesday May 18th, at Hillsdale Estates in Oshawa.

Anne was born on September 4th 1930, to parents Michael and Mary Adam, who had recently emigrated from Slovakia.

She is survived by two siblings, Mary Armstrong and John Adam, and was predeceased by brother Robert (1950).

She married Michael Paulocik in May 1948, and together they raised four daughters: Linda Paulocik (May 16th, 2019), Susan Fagnani, Christine Paulocik and Michele Paulocik.

For all but a few months, Anne lived her entire life in Oshawa, returning to the city soon after marriage.

As a wife, and stay-at-home mother, her exceptional skills at cooking, baking and sewing were put to daily use, and they increased mightily through the years.

She took great pride in developing her skills. With needle, thread, Singer sewing machine and wool she created an endless array of clothing - everything from high fashion to school teams’ uniforms.

Later she explored quilting and applique work, and created stuffed bears and dolls - many of the latter live on in memory.

In her kitchen, she consistently whipped up excellent cabbage rolls, perogies, lasagna, fabulous pies, cookies and her signature chocolate cake.

During her last years in her home, she had the fine care of many PSWs, enabling her to remain there much longer. Among her very favorites were Danielle (a gift from God), and Ciera kindred spirit.

Since Nov of 2019, Anne resided at Hillsdale Estates, on Strawberry Fields.

As her family, we were very grateful for a safe situation where she had constant care. We are very grateful for that, and truly can’t thank the staff enough for the excellent care they showed her, Tina, Mary, Christine, Erica, Claudia, Mellisa and Dr. McIntosh.

She is a force that will be greatly missed by her daughters (Sue, Chris & Shelly); her grandsons (Mathew, Ethan & Elias); her sister Mary and brother John and her many nieces, nephews and their families.

Private family service to take place.

Arrangements entrusted to OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME .
