McKINLEY, Robert James - It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Robert James McKinley at the age of 82 at Lakeridge Oshawa Hospital on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 from complications of Covid 19.

Born in Point Wolfe, Albert County, NB he was the son of the late Rolston and Annie (Holahan) McKinley. Bob moved to Oshawa, Ontario and was employed by General Motors for 30 years.

He loved his garden and working in the garage. If your car or truck was broke call Bob, he could fix it.

If you wanted any tomatoes, beets or rhubarb just ask for some, it was yours. Bob loved to hunt and fish, feed the birds and took great pride in his hedges and lawn.

Nothing was as important as the loving care he took of his wife Glenda in her failing years. Bob was a great friend, brother, step father, uncle and brother-in-law.

He will be sadly missed by his daughter Crystal (Gaytan), step sons Eric (Sandra) and Horace, his sister Ardith, his brother Carl (Audrey) many nieces, nephews and grandkids.

As well as by his many friends and in laws, especially Wally whom he loved like a son. He always said how much you did for him and Glenda.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his loving wife Glenda, two brothers Ralph and Alfred.

Thank you to all Bob's friends, neighbours for your kindness and compassion to Bob. The last couple of years were very trying for him.

Bob and Glenda will be buried together in Browns Yard Cemetery, Bass River, NB. Where he will be at peace.
