HUDSON, James “Gordon” Donald Hudson -Passed surrounded by the love of his family on June 12, 2021 in his 95th year.
Gord was a long time member of Alcholics Anonymous and the Alano Club of Oshawa.
Beloved husband of the late Ruth.
Father and step-father to David Haney (Irene) of Ottawa, Christine Collins of Richmond Hill, Suzanne LaRocque (Colin Murray) of Bethany, Anida Doherty of Oshawa, Lynne Bunt (Doug) of Peterborough.
Cherished grandfather to Diane, Connor (Elyssa), Kevin, Kayleigh (Max), Ryan (Lori), Kelly, Kristy (Stan), Brooke, Brayden, Brody, Connor (Elyssa), Danielle (Aaron), and great grandfather to Brooke, Brayden, Brody, Cameron, Ella, Liam, Kara, Ty, Brayden, Colton, Karsyn, and Kaylyn .
He will be missed for his casual demeanour, positive influence and kind words to everyone he encountered.
The family wishes to acknowledge and thank the staff at Chartwell Wynfield in Oshawa for the compassion they showed for Gord.
He proudly left us understanding that showing kindness to others results in others being kind in return.
Cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at the Alano Club when circumstances permit large gatherings.
