Baker ThelmaBAKER, Thelma Irene (nee Masters) - (June 27, 1930 – June 23, 2021)

It is with a heavy heart that the family announces Thelma’s passing in the early hours of June 23, 2021 with her family by her side.

She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick Baker.

Loving mother of Linda, Heather (Alan) and Trevor (Raija-Lee).

Cherished grandmother to Colleen (Andrew), Shannon (Mike), Alexander (Nicole) and Samantha (Spencer).

Thelma was thrilled to become a Great Grandmother this year with the birth of Brielle and the anticipated birth of her second Great Granddaughter in early August.

Thelma was an active member of Toastmasters (Whitby and Oshawa Clubs), Spotlight Speakers, Oshawa Seniors Centre and Vice President of the Residents Council at Lynde Creek Manor, where she resided.

Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Tuesday, June 29th, from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Please sign up for visitation at the following link https://signup.com/go/wUzORXH

Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, June 30th at 10:30 a.m. Please join the family in celebrating Thelma’s life via live stream at https://funeraweb.tv/en/diffusions/32210.

To honour Thelma’s love of colourful clothing, we ask that mourners wear their colourful clothing.

Thelma enhanced the many lives she touched and will be greatly missed by all.

At the family’s request, Memorial Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
