NEWLANDS, Scott Fraser - (March 15th, 1958 - June 27th, 2021)
Was a loving son, brother, husband, brother-in-law, father, uncle, coach, friend, entrepreneur, and most importantly a cherished papa.
He was 63 years of age, born in Toronto on March 15th, 1958.
Scott passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving wife and surrounded by his family on the morning of June 27th, 2021 after a courageous fight with cancer.
Scott overcame obstacle after obstacle in his battle to stay with his beloved family for as long as he could.
Scott’s mission in life was to provide for his family. Scott was a successful business owner for the last 30+ years.
Not only did he love his career, it also enabled him to spend countless time with family and friends.
In his downtime, he was a devoted Leafs fan, avid golfer, movie buff, cottager and Johnny Walker Blue Connoisseur.
Scott is survived by his mother May Newlands “nee Crooks," loving wife of 40 years Lori “nee McDonald,” and two beautiful daughters. His eldest daughter Stephanie Ross, son-in-law Colby, two adored grandchildren Ava & Garrick. His youngest daughter Andrea Christian, son-in-law Dave and beautiful granddaughter Lainey “The Lainster” born on June 13, 2021.
Through Scott’s perseverance, he was able to hold & adore her in his last moments.
Scott is finally at peace and will be resting close to his family at the Lakeview Cemetery in Newtonville, ON.
A celebration of his life will be held in his daughters backyard on Saturday, July 10, 2021.
The family requests donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, MS Society of Canada and flowers be addressed to his celebration of life.
