Peacefully on Thursday July 15th, 2021 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa with family by her side.
Beloved wife of the late James Barnes.
Loving mother of Joyce, Jeffrey (Anne), Steven (Wendy), and David (Angie).
Cherished grandmother of Heather, Brent, Isabelle, Bryan, Kate and Allison.
Predeceased by her siblings Harold Copping, Doreen Boyton and Bob Copping.
Valena dedicated her life to her daughter Joyce and developed a special bond that can never be broken.
A passionate realtor for over 30 years and was happiest while finding the perfect home for her clients.
She was a long time member of Northminster United Church.
A private ceremony was held by the family at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, (905-721-1234). Donations for Christian Horizons group home would be appreciated.
