Peyton GlennPEYTON, Glenn Garry   -  January 31, 1965 – July 31, 2021

Age 56 It is with great sadness, that we announce the sudden passing of our son, brother and uncle.

Glenn was the beloved son of Oswald and Myrtle Peyton (predeceased October 26, 2019).

He is the youngest brother to Raymond (Samantha), Paul (Petrina), Clifford (Bonnie) and big brother to his sister Valerie Barclay (Steve).

Glenn has many nephews and nieces and great nephews and nieces who loved him greatly.

Glenn was born on January 31, 1965 in Oshawa.

He spent most of his formative years, growing up in Newfoundland.

Glenn loved sharing may detailed childhood adventures.

He loved to talk about his time spent with his brothers, getting in wonderful trouble and great fishing tales!

At the young age of twenty one, Glenn was in a tragic motorcycle accident that resulted in several brain surgeries, six months at Sunnybrook hospital and long stay in rehab at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa.

At the time, Doctors said that he would never walk or talk again but his great faith believing Mom, Family and Church family would not give up until Glenn defied all the odds by walking and talking!

Glenn’s beautiful Mom was his primary caregiver for most of his life and his Dad continued to provide and advocate for him up until the day he entered heavens gates to meet his Saviour and be reunited with his beloved Mother.

While Glenn was left with a partial paralysis and on oxygen, he told anyone who would listen to his story, often leaving people in tears by his soft, kind words and his “My Cup is Full” attitude!

We would like to say a big Thank You to all the Doctors and Nurses that took care of Glenn during the years.

Durham Region has some of the best medical staff in all of Ontario.

We extend a warm Thank You to the Wyndfield Long Term Care staff who took care of Glenn for the past couple of years and through this pandemic.

Thank You for being there for Glenn, when we could not be. Psalm 116:16 “Precious in the sight of the the Lord is the death of his saints.”
