* As of Sept. 22, 2021:  Funeral services (including visitations) are part of the Goverment

of Ontario's 'Vaccine Passport' requirement, If Held Indoors.

This includes Funeral Services at Funeral Home, Cemeteries and Crematoriums, If Held Indoors.

* From Sept. 22 to Oct. 12, 2021:
Funeral Guests may attend an Indoor Funeral, if they have Proof of a Negative COVID-19 Rapid Test,
taken 48 hours preceding the Funeral.

* After Oct. 12, 2021, all attendees must show proof of vaccination or written proof of a Medical
Exemption from a doctor or nurse.

There are no other exemptons for people attending funerals.

---Except for:
* Those presenting written proof of a Medical Exemption from a doctor or nurse; and
* Children under the age of 12.

* These measures do not apply to outdoor funerals.

* Everyone must still wear a mask or face covering.

SPEARS, Ronald Ned   - Suddenly passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at the age 75.

Loving husband of Laura (nee: Brown).

Devoted father to Corey, Bain (Sabrina) and predeceased by his daughter Annett.

Cherished grandfather to Jade and Caleb.

Predeceased by his parents David and Sarah Spears. Dear brother of Elizabeth Anderson.

Predeceased by his siblings John, Dorothy, Myna, Edna, Leslie, Ivan, David and Allan.

Due to the current COVID situation and public health requirements the family will receive friends for visitation and service by reservation through Mount Lawn Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held at Westminster United Church, 1850 Rossland Road East, Whitby (NW corner of Rossland Road E. and Garrard Rd.) on Friday September 17, 2021 from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. A reception to follow.

If desired, memorial donations the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
