OBITUARIES  ...for the DURHAM REGION

 

 

 

 

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

VANDERVEN, Jennifer (Allbright)   - Passed away peacefully, at 49 years of age, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, on September 13, 2021 at Oak Ridges Hospice in Port Perry with family by her side. 

Jen will be greatly missed by her husband Bill, and her sons John, and Lucas.

She will also be greatly missed by her dear parents Larry and Barbera Albright, and by her brother Russell (Kelly), niece Madeline and nephew Coby.

She was a Granddaughter to Norm and Olive Uren, and Melville Allbright and Ruby Ewing. She will be missed by her Uncles Dave, Arthur, Christopher (Peggy), Howard, and Aunt Joan.

Predeceased by Uncle Grant.

Jen will also be sadly missed by her Vanderven family.

Brother-in-law John (Sharon), Sisters-in-law Anne and Mary (Glen), and by her nieces and nephews Adam, Joshua, Sebastian, Sabrina, Paulina, Nicole, and Matthew, And also Uncle Ted. Jen was also loved by many dear friends, cousins, extended family and neighbours.

A very special thank you to Dr. Jennifer Wilson for her many years of dedicated care.

A heartfelt thanks to Dr. Hadden and the many angels we call nurses, also the incredible support staff and volunteers at Oak Ridges Hospice. Thank you to Cousin Dee for keeping Jen company at the hospice and to pastor Rob Kennedy for his many visits.

Thank you also to the doctors, nurses, and social workers at Markham Stouffville Hospital for their great care.

A private family funeral will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, if desired, a memorial donation to the Oak Ridges Hospice in Port Perry would be appreciated by the family.
