ALLEN, Samuel Evans  –  Peacefully at the age of 91, with his loving family by his side, on Tuesday October 5th, 2021 at Lakeridge Health in Ajax.

Beloved husband of the late Patricia. Loving father of Brian Allen (Jo-anne), Cindy Stacey (Bill) and Kim Allen.

Devoted Papa to Leslie Olgieser (Dan), Steven Allen (Janice), Lyndsie Wagner (Patrick), Michael, Todd and Billy Stacey. Also, a Great Papa to Riken, Sloan, Grayson, Brynlee and Alessia.

He will be sadly missed by his four- legged friend Lily.
Samuel was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 12, 1930.

He was a proud graduate of Drexel Institute of Technology and McGill University. He enlisted in the US Army from 1951 to 1957 and served in Korea with the Army Security Agency.

He was hired by Link-Belt Ltd in Montreal, was promoted to District Manager in Winnipeg and later to Project Manager in Toronto. Link-Belt was acquired by FMC Chicago and eventually by KKR Chicago and formed a new company Power Transmission Inc Indiannapolis. After his rewarding career, he retired in 1995 as Vice President and General Manager of the Canadian operation known as PTC Ltd.

He enjoyed playing golf, bridge and the many friendships he formed at the Senior Citizens Centre in Whitby and often referred to it as his second home.

A special thank you to Violet and Dave Gil for their care and support for the last 23 years, and also to the staff at Lakeridge Health Ajax; especially to Taylor on 4 west.

A private family service will be held.

If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
