SHIFRER, Dr. Maria Asuncion - (1928 - 2021)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother Dr. Maria Asuncion Shifrer at home on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at the age of 93.
Beloved wife to the late Janko for 30 wonderful years. Dear mother to John “Chuko” (Usha), Anne (Richard), Coral (the late Jim) and Mark (Jeanette).
Devoted grandmother to Michael, Thomas John “TJ” and Mark “Markie”. Adored sister to the predeceased Paco and Carmen. Adopted Yaya to Cassidy and Briana.
Asuncion will be greatly missed by her extended family and friends in Spain.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Prostate Cancer Research or the Canadian Fabry Association would be appreciated.
A Memorial Mass will take place at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church (1001 Ravenscroft Rd., Ajax Ontario L1T 4X1) on Thursday October 14th at 10:30 AM followed by the interment in North York, Ontario.
