WHITMEE, Jean (nee Brown) Whitmee - 1934 - 2021
Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Sunday October 10th at the age of 87.
Jean is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Oswald (Ozzie) Whitmee.
Deeply loved mother of Rick (Kim), Danny and Lisa Horne (Jeff).
Beloved grandma to Derek (Sandy), Kristin (Kevin), Katey and Natalie and special great grandma to Maverick, Dahlia and Kallie.
Dearly loved sister of Doreen Wilford (Bill) and loving sister in law to Grace and Sid Loscombe.
Predeceased by her parents Marion Murray (Simmons) and Jack Brown, as well as her sisters Betty McKeown (Alfred) and Faye Hamilton (Orly). Also missed by many nieces and nephews.
The perfect mom to her three children, Jean graced us all with her kind nature, and wonderful sense of humour, which will never be forgotten. Jean spent her working years with Bell Canada and Sears.
She was an avid lover of music, and played piano by ear, with no formal training.
She jumped into any song with her pleasing harmonies and brought harmony to all of those around her.

At Jean's request, there will be no service.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully accepted to the Alzheimer Society of Durham Region.
