HOLMES, Brent Andrew Holmes   -  55, of Port Perry, Ontario passed away on Tuesday, October 12 after a four-month battle with Cancer.

Brent was born on May 27, 1966 to Florence (Mike) and John Holmes in Toronto.

After graduating from Malvern Collegiate Institute in Toronto, he went on to study Arts at York University. Brent was also a Cub Scout, Navy League Cadet, Army Cadet with the Toronto Scottish Regiment Cadets and a member of HMCS York.  

After graduation, he landed his first job as a teller at “his bank” Toronto Dominion bank and he climbed the ladder to Branch Manager within a few years. 

He met his sweetheart and the love of his life, Rhonda (nee Pickering), and they married in the Village of Cherrywood United Church in 1991 going on to have three wonderful daughters Courtney, Brooklyn and Cadence.

His family meant more to him than anything else in the world. He was unendingly proud of his family.

He was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. 

He is survived by His wife Rhonda and daughters Courtney, Brooklyn and Cadence, mother Florence (Mike), sister Bridget DeWyze and her family and brother Brian and his family.

The family would like to also like to thank the healthcare teams at Sunnybrook, Princess Margaret and Lakeridge Health Oshawa, Emergency and ICU, for their dedicated care, hard work and professionalism.

Visitation will be held at the Low and Low Funeral Home, Port Perry, on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 2p.m. to 4p.m. and 7p.m. and 9p.m. A private service will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021. To RSVP to the funeral service on Thursday, please contact funeral home.

Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Sunnybrook Hospital Foundation or the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation .
