ADAMS, Alvin   -  December 1947 - October 2021

Alvin Oliver Adams passed away peacefully on October 16th surrounded by his loving family.

Alvin and his twin sister, Hermin (pre-deceased), were born to Theophilus and Pearly Adams and Grand Parents, Edward and Kathleen Simon in Two Friend’s Village, East Coast, Demerara, Guyana.

He had five brothers and five sisters, with many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and colleagues.

He graduated from PEI in Guyana.

He migrated to Canada in 1969 and met his Queen, Cheryl. They married in 1972 and throughout their 49 years together produced three wonderful children, Khary, Nkosi and Jelani.

Alvin and Cheryl are the proud grandparents of Isaiah, Nathaniel, Abigail, Zahra and Zuri. He was also a loving father-in-law to Janurie and Renee. In 1975, Alvin graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

He served on the Police Services Board and liaised with many prominent people in the business He was a proud member of the Nomad’s Cricket Club for many years.

Alvin was someone that could be depended on and he had a way of making everyone around him feel good.

Visitation will be held at Saint Georges Anglican Church, 77 Randall Dr, Ajax, on Monday, October 25, 2021 from 11:00 am til 1:00 pm Funeral Service will commence at 1:00 pm at the Church.  Interment will be held following the Service at Pine Ridge Memorial Gardens, Ajax.
