Worona ChristopherWORONA, Christopher Joseph - (February 24th, 1960 - November 17th, 2021)

Christopher Joseph Worona, leader and outdoorsman, passed away suddenly on Wednesday November 17, 2021 at his cabin in Sprucedale, Ontario.

Christopher was born in Oshawa, Ontario in 1960.

During his youth he developed a deep passion for the outdoors beginning at Camp Samac. He was considered an avid and generous gardener.

Christopher grew to become a dedicated public servant who prided himself on his workmanship. Christopher was a leader to many and was involved extensively in building the community of Durham Region through his work.

Christopher was always willing to spend his time and attention with his nieces and nephews. He made great efforts to involve them in what he was passionate about.

He was the beloved son of Joseph John Worona and Eleanore Anne (nee Lack). Brother to Bernard Worona, Anthony Worona (Danise Collins), Gregory Worona (Susanne Worona), and Andrea Worona (Justin Baxter).

Christopher was the uncle to Serhij, Tetjana, and Oksana Worona, Zachariah, Shannon, Madison, and Kayley Worona, Oliver and Thomas Worona and Jack Baxter.

Arrangements have been entrusted to BARNES MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME and cremation has taken place.

No formal gathering will be held in light of Christopher's wishes. Well wishes and arrangements may be addressed to 10 Dymond Drive in Whitby, Ontario to be received by his parents.

Anyone looking to make donations can do so on Christopher’s behalf to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.

The family thanks everyone for their phone calls, texts and well wishes.
