MATIAS, Francisco Delos Santos Matias  -  1924 - 2021

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful return home to God’s glory of our dearest Dad, Francisco Matias (Dad Frank) at the age of 97 on November 20, 2021.

He was the beloved husband of Lucila (Nanay Luz), married November 18, 1944 and just celebrated their 77th wedding anniversary.

He was born in Manila, Philippines.

He moved to Canada to be with the rest of the family in 1980. He enjoyed reading and researching the Bible especially relating to prophecy. He is a great Sunday School teacher, an avid reader and a wise counselor.
He and Nanay Luz were called to be missionaries after their retirement from FEBC- Philippines. They ministered in the Philippines and in Saipan for many years under FEBC- Canada.

Dad served the Lord faithfully throughout his life and was a model of Christian values to his family, his church, and everyone who knew him. He will be greatly missed!
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Luz, and his children Rita (Tony), Art (Mimi), Connie (John), Ruth (Ken) and Fe (Jun) and son-in-law Paul. He was preceded in death by daughter Anita. He also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 17 greatgrandchildren and countless other relatives.

Visitation and funeral service will be held with limited capacity at the McEachnie Funeral Home, Ajax Ontario, on Sunday, November 28, 2021.  Registration is required.
