GARDNER, John Albert Gardner - (Retired 33-year employee of General Motors)
John Albert Gardner, 85, passed away suddenly after a prolonged illness at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, Saturday November 27th, 2021.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joan (nee Tupling) of 58 years.
Loving and devoted father of Gregory (Lori) and Cara Jelinek (Jason).
Proud grandfather to Jade, Griffin Gardner,Camille, Jonathan Jelinek.
Dear brother to Ivy, Lidwin, George (Ann), Marie,Marj (Nick), Leroy (Myrtle), Velma, Delroy (Katie).
Dear brother-in-law to Lorne (Marian), Marian (Jim), Eleanor and sisters-in-law Joan and Phyllis. He will be dearly missed by his extended family and friends.
John will be fondly remembered for his love of (armchair) sports and his passion for the outdoors including hunting and fishing.
A special thank you to the staff of Lakeridge Healthcare Oshawa for their compassionate care of John.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Morris Funeral Chapel, Bowmanville on Thursday, December 9, 2021. Due to COVID restrictions an attendance limit has been placed. Please contact the home to register your attendance.
