VAILLANCOURT, Lawrence Edward   -  April 2, 1933 - December 5, 2021

Passed away peacefully at home, with his daughters by his side.

Lawrence was a beloved husband to Remy, who predeceased him in 2018.

He was a loving father to his two daughters, Vickie Vaillancourt and Andrea (Kyle) O'Donnell.

Loved Grandpa of Callum and Allie. Dear brother of Ed (Colleen) Vaillancourt. Lawrence was predeceased by his brothers, Arthur, Roy, Allan (Louisa), Jack and Bruce.

Many nieces and nephews throughout the Philippines and Canada will sorely miss him.

Lawrence was born, raised and lived his entire life in Oshawa, until the last two years where he resided in Georgetown with his daughter.

Lawrence began work at General Motors in Oshawa in what was known as the Boy's Group. He was a dedicated employee, always driving a GM car and finally, after 45 years, enjoyed a great retirement with Remy.

Lawrence was an avid skier and fisherman until the age of 80. He was a lifelong member of The Oshawa Ski Club/ Mount Kirby.

At Lawrence's request and due to the pandemic, there will be no visitation or funeral service.

A private family graveside service will be held at Thornton Cemetery in Oshawa where Lawrence will be reunited with the love of his life, Remy.

Memorial donations will be gratefully accepted to Lakeridge Health Foundation - Cancer Care in Oshawa.

When you are having a great day on the slopes, he would like nothing better than for you to have a run for him. He will forever be in our hearts.
