GORSKI, Maria - January 16, 1932 – December 14, 2021
It is with great sadness that our precious mom, Maria Gorski, passed away on December 14, 2021.
She will be greatly missed by her children, Rita Trolley, Dana Harding and Edward Gorski as well as her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family members and friends.
Maria is predeceased by her husband Zygmund Gorski of 50 years.
Maria was very proud of her Polish heritage.
She worked for Versa Foods in General Motors for many years and became involved in the Polish Community and Oshawa Folk Council.
Through her passion and love for cooking, she also did catering events throughout the city.
Her beloved cat, Meeko, brought her so much comfort, joy, and companionship for many years.
Maria was deeply rooted in her family and the simplicity of life.
She loved the beauty of nature, flowers, gardening and feeding her fine feathered friends.
She also loved to dance and travel when she was able to and learn about the world around her.
It would be wrong to say mom lost her battle since she never stopped fighting.
Our mom was a pillar of strength and through her, we have learned what resiliency and perseverance truly look like.
A service will be held at ST. HEDWIG’S CHURCH on Thursday, December 30th at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society of Durham Region or the Alzheimer Society of Durham Region.
