Gill IvanGILL, Ivan   -  November 24, 1956 – December 24, 2021

(aka Garge from Krinkles Cove) Skated  off to a pain-free existence with his personal hockey team by his side on December 24th, 2021.

Born in Gander, NL, Ivan grew up in the small outport community of Clifton with his parents and 6 siblings before moving to Ontario in 1976 to start a family.

As a young husband and father he began working at General Motors in Oshawa and enjoying what nature had to offer in cottage country.

He was a make-shift mechanic, musician, and DJ with passions for hockey, animals, old cars and snowmobiling.

He was a horrible hunter as he was a nature-lover at heart.

Nothing mattered more to him than family and friends. He was deeply proud of his roots, his children and grandchildren, and the accomplishment of publishing his autobiography, Just My Luck.

Forever in the hearts of his beloved wife of 45 years, Karen, his beloved children, Kim and Brad, daughter-in-law, Jessica, his adoring grandchildren Ethan, Jesslyn, and Morgan, and his admired father, Laudrick.

Now reunited with his cherished mother, Ariel, his sister, Diane, and brother-in-laws, Melvin, Lindsay, and Woodrow, mother-in-law, Mary, and father-in-law, Alfred.

He will be deeply missed by his brothers, David (Gail), Randy (Kathy), and Gary (Sheila) and his sisters, Andrea (Shawn), Judy (Andy), and Patricia (Paul).

His memory is also treasured by his brother and sister in laws, (Vinie), Stanley (Betty), Rebecca (Ralph), Gordon (Mary), Viola, Vera, (Diane), Monica, Laura, Doris, Marj (Steve), Reginald (Glenna), Gardner (Nancy), Iris (Denis), Carl (Sue).

He is fondly remembered by many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, and extended family.

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, January 8th, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1587 Highway #2, Courtice, (905-432-8484).

Family have requested double vaccinations for all attendees.

Proof of vaccination must be provided upon entry to the COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL.
