WILLIS, Franklin William John  -  June 24 1949 - December 28 2021

It is with very saddened hearts that we announce the passing of our Dad, with his family by his side on Dec. 28th.

With a brief but very courageous battle with cancer.

He truly will be deeply missed by many.

Those who knew our Dad, loved him.

He wasn't just our Dad, he was a Son, Brother, Grandpa, Great Grandpa, Uncle and a Friend.

Dad was Born in Lindsay and grew up in Udora with his parents Frank (pre deceased) and his Mother Mary, along with his 8 siblings.

I'm sure his Dad and brother were waiting with open arms at heavens gate.

Our Dad has met many great people along the way.

He loved people and maintained friendships that go way back and some that he lost touch with in this journey called life.

Dad resided in Kirkfield with his mom until she moved into a retirement home, then moved with his daughter to Brechin, where they lived out on the farm.

So much thanks goes out to our family and friends for their support and heart warming thoughts and prayers. To our work families for their understanding, kindness and love. To Home and Community Care and Bayshore Nurses who came into our home multiple times a day to help with our Dad's needs.

You all went above and beyond for our family to ensure our Dad was comfortable and I know he appreciated you all to. Thank you for your ears when we needed to talk and thank you for your shoulders when we needed a cry.

Thank you Nurse Joanne for your hugs and always being there when we called. We never felt alone, you were all just so amazing and compassionate. Not all hero's wear capes. You all will carry a special place in our hearts.

We will be holding a celebration of life June 24 2022 (would have been Dad's 73rd Birthday) out at our farm in Brechin. Come and Share your stories and memories with us.  Please RSVP This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

All Friends and Family welcome.

If so desired memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
