LAVIGNE, Ruby Grace (McLeod) Lavigne   -  January 1, 1942 - January 2, 2022 

It is with heavy hearts we announce Ruby Lavigne (Mom and Nanny) passed away peacefully on Sunday January 2, 2022, in her 80th year at Victoria Manor Long Term Care, Lindsay, Ontario.

She was predeceased by Rene Quenneville and Lovingly remembered by Robert Lavigne. 

Loving Mother will be cherished forever by Janet (Dave) Barry, Charlene Harris, and Suzanne (Fred) Hoffman. Grandchildren Kevin Barry, Trevor (Katlyn) Harris, Brian Barry, Kyle (Nadine) Hoffman and Rachel (Zak) Hoffman. Great Grandchildren Lexis and Lincoln Harris. 

Ruby was a member for the Women’s Institute on Manitoulin Island for 8 years and served as President from 2008 – 2013.

She also volunteered at the Food Bank and Women’s Shelter.  Ruby will be greatly missed by many Families, Friends, and extended Family.

A cremation will take place and a Private Celebration of Life will be held on Friday July 1, 2022, in Oshawa, Ontario depending on Covid restrictions. 

A Special Thank you goes out to Victoria Manor Long Term Care you were all so kind, compassionate, and loving to us all.

Mom was known as the Socializer and will be missed by all.

We also want to Thank the Alzheimer’s Society of Durham Region, if it were not for this Association we really do not know how we would have got through. 

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Durham Region in Memory of Ruby Lavigne.
