LAURIENZO, Rosa (nee Rosina Lariccia)   -  One of God’s angels on Earth, went to be with the Lord on January 11, 2022 at the age of 84.

Rosa was born in Matrice, Italy on April 4, 1937 and emigrated with her family to Canada in 1954.

She is the most beloved Mother of Pierre Laurienzo (Jennifer) and cherished Nonna of Maritza and Jared Laurienzo.

Among her adoring family, Rosa is survived by her best friend John Laurienzo; two sisters: Giovanna Santacroce of Italy and Sylvia Paglia (Tony) of Rochester, NY; as well as her two brothers: Nicholas Lariccia and Mario Lariccia (Michele) of Rochester, NY. She is predeceased by her father, Giuseppe Antonio Lariccia, her mother, Antonietta Lariccia, and by her two sisters: Maria Facchini (Tony) and Filomena Andrisani.

Rosa was a doting Zia for her many nieces and nephews in Italy, Canada, and the United States.

She will be dearly missed by Antonella, Maria, and Joe and their respective families; Rita (Mark), Nelson (Anita), Dino (Tamara - Jonah), Nancy, Liborio (Anthoula - Michael and Leeann), Antoinetta (Robert - Gia), Michael (Leisann - Laurence), Adriana (Fabio - Emmanuel and Anthony); Brenton (Sarah - Madeleine and Jackson), Nathan, and Elizabeth (Aaron - Gio).  Family meant everything to Rosa. She was a woman of simplicity and generosity who loved to cook and feed everyone.

Visitation and funeral at Accettone Funeral Home, Ajax. Visitation on Sunday, January 16th from 2:00 to 5:00 pm and January 17th from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Funeral service on Monday, January 17th at 11:00 am.  Interment to in Ajax.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Diabetes Canada would be appreciated.

The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care from the team of ER, ICU and critical care doctors and nurses at Lakeridge Health Services Hospital in Ajax who are working so hard during this extremely difficult time.
