MEYERS, Francis James Meyers   -  Francis James Meyers was born on December 25, 1930, in Trinidad and Tobago.

He died at his home in Pickering, Ontario on January 11, 2022 of natural causes, his loving wife, Ann-Marie Meyers, at his side.

Francis will be deeply missed by his devoted and caring wife, Ann-Marie, with whom he shared 43 years of marriage.

He will warmly live on in the hearts of his surviving children, Nancy, Nicholas (wife Carrol), Emerson, David (wife Melanie) and Michael, who were graced with the gift of his long life of 91 years.

He was also the dear father of daughter Beverly Rembert, deceased (husband Anthony Rembert).

Francis will also be fondly remembered by his young grandsons Daeryun, Isaiah, Noah, Daniel and James, and his granddaughters Michelle, Shanelle and Rachael.

Francis is also survived by his siblings Monica (deceased husband Libert), Theresa (husband Rupert), Anthony, and Cynthia, and was the dear brother to his deceased siblings, Eddie (deceased wife Grace), Patsy (husband Victor), Rita and Matthew (wife Yvonne).

They were all children of the late Edward Meyers Sr. and Albertha Alexander, whom they both adored and respected all their lives. He also leaves behind dozens of nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as many good friends in Canada and Trinidad.

Francis will long be remembered for his outgoing and jovial personality and pleasure in making others feel welcome.

In his retirement years, Francis and Ann-Marie valued spending leisure time at home together, and especially when Nancy, Nicholas, and the grandkids visited.

He was also deeply spiritual, volunteered with his church’s charitable ministry and regularly attended services of his local church. Francis was a long-time weightlifting and fitness enthusiast right up to his late 80’s; loved ‘ole talk’ and was a master at telling tall tales- mostly of his glory days and life in Trinidad. He will be fondly missed by many.

Due to Covid-19, space is limited, please call the funeral home to book a spot for the visitation and the service. Visitation will be held at Mount Lawn Funeral Home on Tuesday January 18, 2022 from 11-12pm. The Funeral service will follow in the chapel at 12pm. Interment at MOUNT LAWN CEMETERY directly following the service.
