McNEIL, Barbara Joyce McNeil - May 25, 1938 – January 13, 2022
Passed on Thursday, January 13th, 2022, in her 84th year, at the Shalom Village, Hamilton.
Beloved wife of the late Paul McNeil.
Loving mom of Steven of Ajax, Mark of Ancaster, Kimberlee (Jim) of Abbotsford, BC, and John (Karen) of Ancaster.
Cherished Nana of Tyler, Meaghan, Kyle, Quinn, Alicia, Devyn, Lexi and great Nana of Zachary.
Dear sister of Sylvia (Paul) and sister-in-law to Michael (Charlyne).
Barb will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends and family pets Bamboo and Bella.
Barb was a retired employee of Bell Canada.
Whether it was living in Liverpool during WWII, embarking on a new life in Canada at 18, marriage…to Paul!, parenting 4 children, several miscarriages, the loss of loved ones, many surgeries and severe illnesses - Barb persevered.
She especially loved to spend time with family, reading (Harlequins!), travelling - especially Cruising and snowbirding in Florida.
Thanks to the staff of Shalom Village, her PSW Annette Babineau, Drs. Christopher Patterson, Frank C. Smith, and Tom Wood.
Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, Oshawa (905-721-1234) on Thursday January 20th from 12:30p.m. until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 1:30 p.m.
