JOHNSON, Marion Ellen Johnson - 97, was born on August 22, 1924 and died peacefully on January 19, 2022 at Lakeview Manor in Beaverton, Ontario.
She spent most of her life in Sunderland, Ontario.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Reg Johnson (2007), and her daughter, Lynne Marie Johnson (2021) and her sister, Myrtle (1962).
She was the loving mother of Larry Johnson and his wife, Donna.
Dearly remembered by her grandchildren: Darrell Johnson (Steffany), Darlene Martin (Ben), & Deanne Hamlette (Dwayne).
Cherished great-grandmother of Madison Martin, Mya Martin, Emmaline Johnson, Ethan Johnson, Parker Hamlette & Peyton Hamlette.
She loved her family deeply and made an effort to be present for all of their big moments.
Marion was a devoted teacher to many students over the years and was passionate about the investment she made in the lives of those whom she taught. Even after her retirement, she enjoyed tutoring students, helping to teach her grandchildren, and giving piano lessons.
She was an avid sports fan who closely followed the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Blue Jays, and Toronto Raptors. She was blessed with a long, healthy life and we rejoice that she is now in her Heavenly home.
Due to the pandemic, the family will have a memorial service at King of Kings Church in Forest, Virginia on January 22, 2022 at 3:30pm. Private interment in Sunderland.
