Ron was born in the family farm house in the township of Mariposa near Woodville, on Dec. 9th, 1937.

His parents were the late John & Iva Nancekievill. Ron grew up with his brothers Gordon, Stanley, and sister Joy. They shared many fond memories together. Ron was introduced to his wife Anne Jones by his Aunt Marion Long.

After dating 5 long years they were married @ Fenelon Falls Baptist. Ron and Anne had 2 children, Andrea & Angela.

Ron will be remembered by Andrea and her husband Sam of New Jersey and Angela and her husband Paul of Courtice. His memory will be cherished by their grandchildren Caroline, Susie, & Charlie Goertz and Emma, Josh, & Heather Peppiatt.

Ron spent his lifetime serving the Lord in the church.

Whether it was Peniel United, Fenelon Falls Baptist or Calvary Baptist.

Teaching & bringing kids by bus to Sunday School, ushering, men’s prayer meeting, arranging transportation for Seniors to attend midweek Retirees Fellowship or calling to invite family and friends to the yearly Easter and Christmas Programs.

He was always eager to help a neighbour or relative. He taught us not to shy away from hard work but approached every situation with tenacity and determination. Oh that Nancekievill drive!

Ron loved his extended family and took delight in staying connected. He was always up for hosting or attending get-togethers.  Ron’s genuine love for those around him will be greatly missed.

May we learn from his example of putting the needs of others before our own. May we his family and friends be willing to share our faith, lend a listening ear, a helping hand or an encouraging word.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.  John 3:16-18
