TURNHAM, Warren Laverne Turnham   -  Surrounded by the love of his family, it is with profound sadness but a sense of peace, that we announce the passing of Warren Laverne Turnham on April 23, 2022 at the age of 78.

Warren was raised on a farm in rural Kingston Ontario by his loving parents Hayward and Estella. To those who knew him, Warren will be remembered as a kind, gentle, humble man who always put others first.

Warren was the devoted and beloved husband of 57 years to his wife Yvonne (Astley) who will miss him terribly. He was a proud grandpa to his cherished grandchildren Emma, Elizabeth (Lizzy), Marcus and Zachary.

Warren is survived by his son Jeff (Sarah) and daughter Stephanie Mogaji (Bryan).

He is also survived by his brothers Gary (Ila), Karl (Marian), sister Virginia and sisters-in-law Elaine Best (Doug) and Sharon Zurrer (Mike) and several nieces and nephews.

Warren was a long-time project manager at Bell Canada and then Verizon in the U.S. where he was a trusted mentor and friend to several of his colleagues and then was employed by Telus until his retirement.

Warren enjoyed golf, tennis, snooker and fishing but mostly the time spent with family.  Special thanks to the staff at Orchard Villa LTC, notably Jennifer, his nurses Jackie and Salome and the wonderful PSWs who looked after Warren these last 10 months.

At Warren’s request there will be no formal funeral service.

Any charitable donations may be made to Parkinson’s Canada or Salvation Army.
