Passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Tuesday May 3rd, 2022 at the age of 85.

Much loved wife of the late Tony Vonk.

Much loved and respected mother of Hetty and her husband David Leitch of Scarborough, Marianne Bateson (Bill) of Trenton, John Vonk and his wife Lesia of Blackstock, Nancy Davidson and her husband Harold of Manilla, Mark Vonk and his wife Christine of Oakwood, David (Rob) of Oshawa.

Adoring Oma of David (Lisa), Stephen (Megan), Lindsay (Nathan), Sara Alexandra, Ryan (Sydney).

Great Oma of Cooper, Chloe, Maeve, Owen and Alex.

Loving sister of Murray van der Wyst and his wife Susan, Hank van der Wyst and his wife Sharon, Joe van der Wyst and his wife Judy, Trudy van Doleweerd, Anne Keefer and her husband Les. Predeceased by her brothers John and Martin. Survived by her sister-in-law Joanne.

Loved sister-in-law of John and Vicki, Mike and Margaret, Cor and Betty (deceased) Bill and Toni (deceased) Ann (deceased).

Madelaine will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews and their families.

Visitation at BARNES MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Whitby on Thursday May 5th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm

Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 130 Watford Street Brooklin on Friday morning at 11:00 am

Madelaine will be laid to rest with her husband Tony at Resurrection Cemetery Whitby.

In memory of Madelaine memorial donations to St. Leo the Great Catholic Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
