NESBITT, Mary Nesbitt   -  1941-2022

Mary Nesbitt passed away peacefully at home with her daughters by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 80.

Mary was the beloved wife to the late Harvey Nesbitt, cherished mother to Lisa and Sue (Mark), proud grandmother to Ryan (Morgan), Mason, Jonathan and Matthew, caring sister to Pete (Orma) and sister-in-law to JoAnn (Peter) and Joyce, loving aunt to Kent (Heather), Nancy (Gena), Maurice (Kim), Deanna (Craig), and Julie Ann (Tammy).

In addition to her family, very near and dear to Mary’s heart was her vast network of friends.

She will be missed by all that knew her.

Mary was raised in Durham Ontario, and met the love of her life, Harv, when he moved to Durham and started working at the RBC next door to her family’s hardware store.

Together, they raised their family in Scarborough and Pickering. Mary was a very proud and long term member of Dunbarton Fairport United Church, where she was involved in many committees including UCW and the Craft Class.

She was also involved with may organizations in her community, most notably the Red Hats, Probis, and the infamous Witches.

A funeral will be held on Tuesday May 24, 2022 at Dunbarton Fairport United Church (1066 Dunbarton Road, Pickering, ON, L1V 1G8), with visitation at 1pm, a funeral at 2pm, followed by a reception.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Dunbarton Fairport United Church, or in the US, to the H Foundation, would be greatly appreciated.
