TRUSSLER, Mary (nee Sovich) - February 9, 1925 - May 29, 2022
Passed away on May 29, 2022 in Cobourg.
Loving mother of Terrance Trussler (Richard Marchand), Robert Trussler (Lila) and Nancy Muzik (John). Will be missed by her grandchildren Hanna Trussler, Cory and Garrett Muzik.
Predeceased by her husband Don Trussler (51 years), grandson Andrew Trussler (our little angel), sister Anne Sovich, her parents Mary and Andrew Sovich.
Mary emigrated to Canada, Kirkland Lake, Ontario during the depression in 1935.
Mary grew up in Kirkland Lake and worked at the CIBC until she married 1948 to the late Donald Trussler.
The family later moved south so her husband could pursue a career with Sears Canada and moved to several cities and finally settling in Oshawa.
The Oshawa Builders Association undertook design and construction of a modern showcase family home for Canada’s Centennial (1967).
Mary was the proud owner of the Centennial Home for 47 years.
We would like to thank the staff at Extendicare Port Hope for their care of Mary in her final year.
Mary always called the PSW’s her angels.
Visitation will be held at COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL , 1587 Highway #2, Courtice (905-432-8484) on Tuesday, June 21st from 12:30 p.m. until time of Celebration of Life Service at 1:30 p.m.
Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society of Lakeridge Health Foundation – Cancer Care would be appreciated.
