DAWSON, Lawrence (Larry) Dawson - April 3, 1944 – June 17, 2022
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Larry Dawson of Whitby at Lakeridge Health Oshawa after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Larry lived a long and fulfilling life, enjoying travel, his time making memories at the cottage, and his nightly phone calls with his sons.
He was the life of every party and always the last to leave.
Family was of the utmost importance; he was in attendance at any significant family event.
With tools at the ready at all times, Larry was the go-to handyman and always willing to lend a hand.
He will be affectionately remembered for his magnetic personality and sense of humour.
Larry was a true legend, had a heart of a lion, and was truly larger than life.
He leaves behind is loving wife, Linda; sons Shawn (Tracy), Shane (Mary), and David (Rebecca); grandchildren Brenna, Cassidy, Tyler, Blake, Hannah, and Zachary; brother Edward (Mary), late brother James (Ruth); late sister Irene (Ivan); and late parents Jim and Madeline.
The celebration of life will be held at a later date.
