YANCH, Mary Loretta (DeMarsh) - FEBRUARY 12, 1923 – JULY 4, 2022
Passed away peacefully with family by her side at The Village of Taunton Mills on Monday, July 4th, 2022, in her 100th year.
Predeceased by her beloved James Almonte “Al”, her daughter Betty Ann Lachapelle, her son Ronald Maurice, and her grandchildren Kristen Laura and William Michael Foley.
Loving mother of Larry, Bill (Sue), Jim (Anne), Joan, Cathi and son-in-law Richard Lachapelle.
Cherished Grandma of 18 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Survived by her brother Joe DeMarsh (Elsie) and predeceased by siblings Alphonse, Bill, John, Frank, Cecilia and Anna "Babe".
Loretta will be fondly remembered as a truly wonderful, gracious, loving, gentle woman.
She was devoted to her husband and family. Loretta was a proud graduate of St. Michael’s Hospital of Nursing. She enjoyed cottage life and travelled the world to many destinations with her soulmate Al.
Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (365-800-4833) on Thursday, July 7th from 5 – 8 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at ST. GREGORY THE GREAT CATHOLIC CHURCH, 214 Simcoe St. N., Oshawa on Friday, July 8th at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow and interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
