BYRNE, Sarah Elizabeth (nee Brasseur) - Always helping others and lover of animals Sarah Elizabeth Byrne, nee Brasseur, of Newcastle has passed away on July 15 at age 64.
Sarah battled MSA (multiple system atrophy) for 3 years bravely.
She is survived by her common-law husband, Patrick McKinnon; her parents, Oliver and Elizabeth Brasseur of Stouffville; as well as brothers, Greig and Adam; and sister, Cindy (Gabe).
She was predeceased by brother, Edison. She will be missed by nephews, Nathan, Jim and Tom (Shannon); niece, Julie; and many cousins.
Sarah's many friends included Kelly, Cheryl, Helga, Jill, Audry, Ruth and Leigh (deceased).
Sarah was born in Stoufville moving to St. Catherines, then Toronto, Oshawa, and finally settling in Newcastle. Sarah worked 30 years for Toronto Water, providing safe drinking water. Sarah enjoyed swimming, sailing, travelling, baking and her beloved dog, Petite Loup.
Thank You to the PSW's who cared for Sarah: Amy, Marsha and Julie. Sarah has been aquamated and her ashes will be spread as per wishes.
There will be a celebration of Sarah's life in August date and venue to be arranged.
