IRELAND, Michael Ross Ireland - Peacefully at home on July 21, 2022.
Mike was a kind, caring, and compassionate person who enjoyed the very simple things in life- football, hockey, decent wine, reading and driving all of his children to their various sports events over the years.
He watched over them at basketball, volleyball, baseball, soccer, and theatre productions. Wherever Mike landed, he found an Old Timers hockey league and enjoyed the camaraderie of those teams in Ancaster, ON., Nackawic, NB, and Port Perry, ON.
Mike leaves his wife, Colleen Ireland and children Kelly Ireland, Jennifer Ireland, Scott Ireland (Sandra), Laura Ireland (Shane) and Aron Hanna.
Mike will be missed by his six grandchildren Stefan, Krysta, Ethan, Karis, Rose, and George.
We would like to thank Mike’s health care providers Dr. Benjamin Hui, Dr. Russell Fernandes, and Dr. Sara Ahmed for their kind and caring support over the past few years.
In addition, we owe a debt of gratitude to the tireless personal support workers who helped to care for Mike - thank you so much Shelly, Justine, and Andrea.
