Prusinski GeraldPRUSINSKI, Gerald “Jerry” Wayne Prusinski  -  March 7th, 1939-Saturday, July 30th, 2022

After a courageous and long battle with cancer, as per his wish, Jerry passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family.

Jerry passed away on Saturday July 30th, 2022 at the age of 83.

Beloved husband of Lisa for 57 years.

Proud father of Jeffery (Laura) and David (Brook), adored grandpa of Myles and Cullen. Lovingly remembered by Val and Leo Choloniuk, Rolf and Tania, Stosh, Stefan and Alexis Fabricius, Terry and Patti, Mackenzie and Melissa Choloniuk. Sadly missed by Gloria, Bob and Darryl Bowler. As well as many more family and friends.

Jerry came to Canada in his late teens from Detroit, Michigan. He was a skilled Tool and Die Maker at Pedlar People Manufacturing, finally coming to work at  North American Steel as the Plant Manager for over 35 years.

Jerry was a sports enthusiast; hunting, fishing, hockey, bowling, downhill skiing and his ultimate passion, golf.  He enjoyed many years as a  member of the Oshawa Golf and Curling Club and more recently, as a member of the Warriors and Povinsky golf leagues.

Jerry was also an  active and dedicated member of the parish at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Jerry was in charge of the maintenance and upkeep of the Parish. He gave of his time generously and did his job with caring and resourcefulness.

Travelling the world with Lisa was another one of Jerry’s passions,  particularly  if there was a golf course nearby..

He was a proud family man who was determined to remain  active and full of life, right up to the end.

Visitation will be held at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME , 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Tuesday August 2nd, 2022 from 4pm to 8pm with Panakhyda at 7pm.
