McNAIR, Joan (Welch) McNair  -  Reunited with the love of her life and husband Melville “Spike”, Joan passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 in her 90th year.

Sadly missed but lovingly remembered by her sons Greg (Lori) and Geoff (Christine) and her sisters Melody Franzen (Peter) and Faye Graham (Brad).

Joan was the proudest grandma to her grandchildren Amanda (Jacob), Sammy (Chris), Todd and Adam and great grandchild Kinsley.

Joan spoiled all her grandchildren with so much love, she will always be thought of with the best memories. She will also be missed by her niece Jenny Porter (Rob), nephews Robbie (Sandra) and John “Murdie” (Brian), her sister-in-law Betty Welch and all of her extended family.

Joan is predeceased by her father Ernie (Mary), her mother Ethel and brother Jim Welch and her two favourite puppies Becky and Brandy.

Raised in Uxbridge, Joan spent all her working years at Ron Nobles insurance.

Summers were spent camping and travelling to P.E.I. with her family. Joan loved to host.

Her door was always open to friends and also her son’s friends throughout the years.

The love she had for her grandchildren was beyond measure.

It won’t be the same without Joan here, she takes up such a big part of our lives and heart- she will be missed every day.

Cremation has taken place, and a private family service will take place.

Donations in memory of Joan may be made to the Diabetic Association or the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital. The family wishes to thank all the staff at Butternut Manor for the wonderful care they gave to Joan.
