TOTEM, George Balfour Tatem - 1939 - 2022
After a courageous battle, George passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 20th, 2022.
Predeceased by his loving wife Hazel (2014).
Much loved father of Stewart and Spencer.
He is survived by his sister Gloria.
Predeceased by siblings Leighton, Terrance and Ercelle.
Born in St. Kitts, raised in Barbados, he married and raised a family in Canada. George was a CMA and a Controller for Standard Industries. George co-founded the Barbados Business Council for entrepreneurs.
He taught at Centennial College and was an active volunteer in his community and within the Dunbarton Fairport Church.
In 1993 he received the honour of a five year volunteer service award from the Ontario government. He was much loved and will be greatly missed.
Arrangements with McEachnie Funeral Home, Ajax. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 29th at 11 am at the Dunbarton Fairport United Church (1066 Dunbarton Rd, Pickering).
