Peacefully, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at the age of 94, Jan left this world to be with his Lord and Saviour.
Beloved husband of the late Harmijntjen “Hermine” Smit (née Harder).
Loving father of Janet Smit (Mick Thomas) and Joyce Cook (David).
Cherished Grandpa of John Cook (Megan), Margaret Cook and Mykayla Smit-Thomas.
Dear brother of Bets Kuhn of Holland, Henk Smit of Unionville, Joyce Vanden Vis of California and Peter Smit of Aurora and predeceased by Janny, Klaas, Gerrit, Wis, Margo, Samuel, Neil, Ann and Johannes.
Relatives and friends will be received at McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Monday, August 29th from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m.
