MCCAMMOND, Derek  -  Peacefully on Sunday, August 28th in his 67th year at Lakeridge Health Ajax-Pickering.

Derek will be sorely missed by his life partner and best friend Terri Donovan.

Survived by his sister Penny (Bill Thompson).

Predeceased by his older sister Patricia Root.

Remembered by his nieces and nephews all in British Columbia.

Derek will also be remembered and missed by his workers at Cornerstone and Carea Community Health Centre. Special love and thanks to Ari and Vithusan. Derek was a huge Toronto Maple Leafs fan.

He loved lacrosse, snowmobiling and racing. In 1970 he received a reward from Darryl Sittler of the Toronto Maple Leafs naming him Junior Champion in the Canadian Snowmobile Circuit.

Derek was a talented musician, he learned to play the organ and trumpet by ear.

He will be truly missed by his many friends.

Arrangements with Mount Lawn Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Humane Society of Durham Region would be greatly appreciated.
