Lowe HelenLOWE, Helen Marie (nee Burley) Lowe   -  JUNE 28, 1928 – AUGUST 31, 2022

Passed away peacefully on August 31st, 2022 at the remarkable age of 94.

Beloved wife of the late George (Joe) Lowe.

Loving mother of Doug (Eve), Gary and Rick.

Cherished Nanny of Steve (Erica), Kerrie (Patrick), Jason, Jennifer, Jamie (Tanya) and Amanda (James).

Adored “Big Nanny” of Madison, Trent, Simon, Lauren, Chris, Ethan, Emma, Michael, Logan, Zach, Avery and Nova.

She will be greatly missed by her sister and best friend Gladys Rice (Stephen).

Helen will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Helen is now reunited with her beloved husband Joe, parents Alva "Red", Owna, and siblings Ken (Lucy, Delores), Keith (Marg), Betty (Gino), and Doug (Wilma).

Helen was the head of the family and loved spending time with each and every one of them.

While hosting meals (always with dessert) she would tell stories about her life working at the bindery, the adventures she would get into with her family when they lived up north and the life she created in Courtice and Oshawa.

Helen would often be found in her garden, enjoyed crafting, traveling, baking and she always had an eye for fashion. She enjoyed spending her summers at their trailer in Lakefield.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

As per Helen’s wishes, there will be no funeral service and cremation has taken place.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday September 24th at 1:00pm, at the Holiday Inn Express, 37 Spicer Square, Bowmanville.

Memorial donations in her name would be gratefully accepted at a charity of your choice.
