CHAPLIN, Jean - The family of Jean Chaplin, are sad to announce her passing on September 5, 2022 at Extendicare Oshawa at the age of 92.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Ernie, mother Edith Bolsover and father Thomas Bolsover, brothers Eric Bolsover and Robert (Bob) Bolsover.
Loving mother to Kim Grimshaw (Dave), Gary Chaplin (Nikki), Greg Chaplin (Andrea) and Lisa Chaplin (Louis). Cherished Nana Jean to Carly, Stacey, Marlon, Natasha, Connor, Aidan, Aaron and Sarah.
Great Nana to Mila, Rhys and Brooks. Born in Manchester England, Jean completed her registered nurses training in Scarborough, Yorkshire England where she met her husband Ernie.
In 1956 Jean emigrated to Canada with her family and settled in Scarborough, Ontario where she met lifelong friends through the L and Y Club.
Jean was a great storyteller who loved to laugh, an avid reader and pursued many interests including travelling, cooking and entertaining.
To her friends Jean was loyal, honest and caring.
To her children she will be remembered as the best Mother.
Jean will be missed by many family and friends here and in England.
