AMOROSO, Rinaldo ‘Ray’ Amoroso - December 8, 1931 - September 11, 2022
Passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, in his 91st year.
Beloved husband of the late Cesina (nee Covatta).
Loving father of Tony and Carmela.
Dear brother of Domenic.
Predeceased by his parents Giovanni and Carmela and his sister Giuseppina.
Ray will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Ray retired after 31 years of dedicated service at General Motors.
He enjoyed listening to music and playing his beloved accordions.
Ray fought a courageous battle with Dementia for the last 8 years. He was able to continue living his life to the fullest by the care provided for him from his children, who will dearly miss him.
Special thanks to his PSW, Nadine, for her care and compassion.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2022 from 4-8 p.m. at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOM (124 King St. E., Oshawa).
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Private Interment at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer Society.
