THOMAS, Susan - December 9, 1946 - September 12, 2022
On Monday, September 12, Susan Thomas (Pollard) died at age 75, after a brief battle with cancer.
She was at Oshawa General Hospital, surrounded by family.
She will be greatly missed by her husband, Wayne Thomas, her children Erin (Aaron Vegh) and Mike (Nancy Thomas), her grandchildren Lynn, Madeline, Brooke and Julia, and countless other family and friends.
Sue is survived by her siblings Robert (Betty), Nancy (Joseph) and Joanne.
Sue had a long career as a medical laboratory technologist, working locally at Ajax Pickering Hospital.
She took great pride in her work and never stopped learning.
She will be remembered as a kind, generous person who smiled with her whole face and loved with her whole heart.
A visitation and service will be held on September 22, at BARNES MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME 5295 Thickson Rd. N Whitby from 1:00 pm until time of celebration of life in the Barnes Chapel at 2:00 pm Thursday.
The family is grateful for the excellent, compassionate care Sue received at Oshawa General Hospital and in lieu of flowers suggests donations to the Lakeridge Health Foundation, or to an animal rescue charity of your choosing.
