RYKEN, Jan - October 10, 1931 - September 8, 2022
Jan passed away peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg the evening of Thursday, September 8th, 2022.
Predeceased by his wife, Hennie, he will be lovingly cherished and remembered by his children, Ron (Heather) and Lynda.
Very proud Grandpa/Opa to Shaun, Derek (Brooke), Michelle, Jody, Brianna, Justin, and great granddaughter, Oaklyn.
Brother to George (Alie), predeceased by siblings: Henk (Roelie), Rei (Wim), Geertje (Wim), Jo (Gerrit), Janny, Wim, and survived by brother-in-law, Jan, and sister-in-law, Janny.
Jan will be fondly remembered by all his family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 11-1pm, on Friday September 16th at W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL (110 Dundas Street East, Whitby).
Service to commence at 1pm followed by interment at GROVESIDE CEMETERY in Brooklin.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jan’s memory may be made to the Canadian Alzheimer’s Society.
