BUSH, Jean (Hockley) Bush   - Jean passed away peacefully on Friday, September 23, 2022 at the age of 88 at Butternut Manor in Uxbridge.

Jean was predeceased by her devoted husband Jack and her loving son Douglas.

Sadly missed but lovingly remembered by her daughter Debra (Stephen) and son David (Sandra).

Jean was the proudest Gramma to her grandchildren Shannah (Markus), Nicholas (Megan) and Jackson, and Nanny to Jennifer (Jeremie) and adored her great grandchildren Vienna, Tristan and Ray.

Jean spoiled all her grandchildren with much love and will be fondly remembered.  She was a dear sister to Connie (Doc) and Fred (Louise).

Jean was born in Halifax to father Ronald and mother Winnifred Hockley.  A true Maritimer, Jean’s father served in the Canadian Navy on the HMCS Haida.  She met her husband Jack at a dance in Kentville, N.S. and were married soon after.

Jack was in the Air Force and they enjoyed their adventures in the military for over 30 years, finally retiring in Chesterville, Ontario.

The family would like to thank the care staff at Butternut Manor for their unfailing love and care they provided for Jean, especially these past few months.  We were truly blessed to have all of them in our lives.

Jean is now with God in heaven with husband Jack and son Doug…. probably having a delicious bowl of her famous chicken garbage soup.

A celebration of Jean's life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
