HICKLING, Dorothy Hickling - 1952 - 2022 It is with great sadness the family of Dorothy Mary Hickling, in her 71st year, passed away surrounded by her loving family, at St. Michael’s Hospital on Friday, September 23, 2022.
Predeceased by her parents Frank and Dorothy (Weston) Hickling, sisters Florence Swire (Lloyd deceased), Fran Hennessey, Marg Hickling, Joan Vaher (Ado), and brother Michael (Madelaine).
She is survived by her brother Paul Hickling and sisters Barb Minaret (Alf deceased), Teresa McRae (Ron) also many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nephew and nieces.
She will be greatly missed by her extended family and friends. Dorothy retired from Sheridan Nurseries after nearly 18 years.
The family would like to express their deep gratitude for the care and support she received in the Neuro and Medical ICU’s at St. Michael’s.
In lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated to the St. Michael's Hospital Foundation (The Schroeder Brain and Heart Centre).
A celebration of life will be held at the McLean Community Centre, 95 Magill Drive (off Westney), Ajax from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. for Dorothy and her sister Joan Vaher who predeceased her on June 30, 2022.
