STAWRZ, Jozef Stawarz - APRIL 23, 1951 – OCTOBER 20, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jozef Stawarz, age 71, of Courtice, Ontario who passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa Hospital.
Known for his tender heart, gracious charm and strength, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew and dear friend.
He is survived by his devoted wife Miroslawa, and his son Tom.
Born in Poland in 1951 and immigrated to Canada in his early 40’s having to adjust to a new life and language was not easy.
He was an extremely hard worker who provided for his family his whole life and only recently retired.
He was always willing to help anyone with anything and never complained even when life was tough. His strength, courage, determination and big heart defined him. Jozef will be greatly missed by his extended family and friends.
Jozef was a devoted catholic, loved family dinners, watching soccer, and the company of friends. He was a very generous soul, and he cherished spending time with his family when he could. There’s so much more about him that not even words can describe. His infectious smile, dedication and generosity and big heart will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
We were very lucky to be able to spend his remaining time together, talking about the good times, and how he wants to be remembered; which is through a celebration of his life. The family appreciates all of your prayers and kind gestures during this difficult time.
We love you and miss you dearly, we’re sure we will meet again this is not a goodbye till then please watch over us.
A memorial visitation for Jozef will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, Oshawa, Ontario. A memorial service will occur Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, 847 King Street West, Oshawa, Ontario.
A burial will occur Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Resurrection Cemetery.
