McNEICE, Murray David McNeice   -  As his wife Joanie, it is with the heaviest of hearts, I announce the passing of Murray David McNeice – 05/06/1922.

He passed after palliative and home care till 4 days prior, in Oak Ridges Hospice where he passed peacefully in wife Joanie’s arms, he felt no pain and was content as I never left his side during the 6-week ordeal.

He succumbed to abdominal cancer October 21st, 2022.

It had spread aggressively over a few months.

Born in Port Credit Ontario, he met Joanie in August of 1956, married on June 4th, 1960.

3 children, Jeffery Alan McNiece - May 13, 1961, Linda Joanne McNeice (Walton) - November 11, 1962, and Lisa McNeice (Hudson) - October 12, 1965.

Predeceased by brothers Leonard and Stanley McNeice, as well as niece Terri. Cherished by sister Marilyn French. Loved forever by 9 grandchildren.  He was loved by brother-in-law Cliff J. Singer and wife Monica, sister-in-law Virginia R. Cane and husband Ron. Missed by nephew Gareth and our sister-in-law Patricia who lived in Kent, England. Married 62 years to Joanie and no couple ever loved more.

After 62 years, together, love grew stronger every day.

Murray will be missed beyond words to say, by Joanie, his children, and his whole family.

Rest in peace my darling, we’ll be together again as we were ‘meant to be’ – forever and ever.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Canadian Cancer Centre in appreciation on Murray’s behalf.

The family will be holding a celebration of Murray’s life on December 10th from 3:30-8:30 PM at 500 Mayfair Ave in Oshawa, Ontario.
